A Letter from K. Rashid Nuri

My New Role

On my 70th birthday, August 31, 2018, I will pass the torch to a new Chief Executive Officer to manage operations at Truly Living Well.  My new role as Elder and Advisor in the local food movement is one that I embrace.

An Amazing Experience

It's been an incredible 12 years of growing Truly Living Well into one of the region's leading urban agricultural institutions. From backyard gardens in East Point to Wheat Street Garden in the shadows of downtown Atlanta, to Collegetown Farm, land that we'll own on the Westside, you have been with us every step of the way.  Thank you, volunteers, staff, board members, customers, funders, partners, and well-wishers.  Together, we have truly built a community that we envisioned.

Food.  People.  Community.

Today, we are helping to create jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities in urban ag and connecting hundreds of people with our food and the land.  Our commitment will continue to be to grow food, grow people and grow the community. There is much more work to be done.

Keep the Faith & Continue the Work

As we search and select new strong leadership to be installed later this year, I ask that you stay dedicated to your support of our organization.  Truly Living Well needs you, as we build on the foundation of our work to create new vistas for innovation, food security, and healthy communities.

Together we grow,

K. Rashid Nuri
