Volunteer

The heart and soul of TLW are the volunteers.  The farms offer everyone a chance to give back to their community and make a difference. Thousands of volunteers serve at TLW each year.  Our volunteers come from every walk of life and every age range.  We gather committed citizens from community groups, churches, and corporations. People donate their time to work on our farm site as a commitment to the community and fresh, locally grown food.

Individual and Small Group Volunteers

Group Volunteers

Volunteer groups work in teams to assist with basic farm chores, such as mulching pathways, turning and weeding garden beds, sifting soil, and working the compost.  In doing so, group communication and general rapport are improved, while being outdoors reduces stress and makes for an enjoyable experience. At times, we offer multi-step projects, such as building a chicken coop or installing a garden bed.

Our minimum fee for groups is $100.00 or $10.00 per person. This covers the cost of staff engagement, as well as the materials and/or tools needed for volunteer activities and overhead costs. We are happy to consider in-kind donations for non-profits. Please click below to submit your request for a large group service opportunity. Our large volunteer group programming will resume soon.
